Volunteer

Donating money to our charities is not the only way you can get involved. Why not give your time to help out your local community? We are always looking for volunteers. Learn new skills, meet new people and have fun. Below are some of our volunteering opportunities, please get in touch if you feel that anything is suited to you or you would like to try something new.

Day Care Volunteer

This is a volunteering opportunity for anyone who would like to get involved with the dementia project and to help us provide an excellent quality of care to people suffering dementia. We would be looking for caring individuals with a patient and understanding attitude.

Fundraising Committee Member

Anyone wishing to get involved in the fundraising committee for the dementia project then please contact us for more details.

Social Day Centre Helper

If you would like to help out at one of Age Concern Eastwood’s Social Day Centres, please get in touch with us. You would be helping older people to socialise and serving teas, coffees and lunches. Training will be given.

Office help

If you can give two hours a week to help out in our Age Concern Eastwood office, please get in touch with us. The office is situated in Clarkston Clinic on Busby Road. You would be answering the phone, giving older people information or putting them in touch with appropriate agencies. You would also be helping with wheelchair loans. Training will be given.
