Eaglesham Social Lunch Club

Attachment-1The Eaglesham Social Lunch Club meets in Montgomery Hall  in Gilmour Street once a week on a Friday from  10am till 3pm. This lunch club has been in existence since 1992.  A team of volunteers help to run the club, with Alison Gray as the convenor. There are 30 members and 8 helpers.

An Age Concern Eastwood mini-bus with volunteer drivers and helpers picks up the members in the morning and takes them home at the end of the day. Lunch, teas and coffees are provided. The members usually have tea and a chat on arrival and then can play dominoes, whist or scrabble. After lunch there are organised activities such as exercise, a speaker, crafts or music. Eaglesham Primary School pupils visit once a month to help with activities. There are outings to the coast, garden centres or hotels and an annual Christmas party.

If you are interested in joining the Lunch Club, or helping out as a volunteer, please phone our number (0141 638  2158 – if it’s the answering machine we’ll get back to you as soon as possible) or e-mail us at ageconcerneastwooda@hotmail.com.
