Age Concern Eastwood (ACE) are now the proud owners of a new minibus thanks to the East Renfrewshire Renewables Energy Fund.
Part funding for the new bus meant a great deal to this charity who provide a valuable service to the older community in East Renfrewshire.
Age Concern Eastwood run 3 weekly social lunch clubs in Eaglesham (Friday) , Newton Mearns (Tuesday) and Woodfarm (Thursday), providing friendship and companionship.
The lunch club members rely on 2 buses to transport them to and from each club and for outings.
The new bus will help to continue this service for the foreseeable future. Other community groups in East Renfrewshire can also benefit from the use of the buses.
